abstract = {"Cloud Computing" which is a buzzword nowadays is applied to many industries at present. For instance, there has been a new trend for e-commerce companies to adopt Cloud Computing. Most organizations are attracted by Cloud Computing because Cloud can save time and money for them in investing in IT infrastructure. There is no doubt that this may be the biggest benefit brought by Cloud Computing, but Cloud Computing also brings a number of other benefits. For e-commerce companies, Cloud Computing provides some specific benefits. For example, it is quite important for e-commerce companies to keep their customers‘ information secure. Cloud Computing helps to improve the security performance in e-commerce by providing a safer way to store the information. This report will address other benefits that offered to e-commerce companies by Cloud Computing. Although Cloud Computing can bring lots of opportunities for e-commerce companies, there still have some issues that should be paid attention to before moving to it. For examples, there is no unified Cloud standards yet which may cause trouble to use Cloud Computing; the quality of Cloud service cannot be guaranteed; migration effort should be considered, etc. These issues will be discussed in this report. In addition, it should be noted that, while Cloud Computing can help e-commerce achieve competitive advantages, it intensifies the competition in e-commerce market since it gives chances for more small business to do e-commerce. I will utilise Porter‘s Five Forces Model to do analysis to support this argument. This project will reach the conclusion by evaluating this project and giving suggestions on significant aspects required to be improved.},

abstract = {Cloud computing platform gives people the opportunity for sharing resources, services and information among the people of the whole world. In private cloud system, information is shared among the persons who are in that cloud. Presently, different types of internet based systems are running in Cloud Computing environment. E-commerce is one of them. Present models are not secured enough for executing etransactions easily, especially in cloud platform. Again, most of the time, clients fail to distinguish between the good online business companies and the bad one, which discourages clients and companies to migrate in cloud. In this paper, we have proposed a newer e-commerce architecture depends on encryption based secured and fuzzy logic based certain trust model which will be helpful to solve present e-commerce problems. We had discussed about the whole working procedure of the model in this paper. Finally, at the end of this paper, we have discussed some experimental results about our proposed model which will help to show the validity of our model.},

@article{Buyya2009,
abstract = {With the significant advances in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) over the last half century, there is an increasingly perceived vision that computing will one day be the 5th utility (after water, electricity, gas, and telephony). This computing utility, like all other four existing utilities, will provide the basic level of computing service that is considered essential to meet the everyday needs of the general community. To deliver this vision, a number of computing paradigms have been proposed, of which the latest one is known as Cloud computing. Hence, in this paper, we define Cloud computing and provide the architecture for creating Clouds with market-oriented resource allocation by leveraging technologies such as Virtual Machines (VMs). We also provide insights on market-based resource management strategies that encompass both customer-driven service management and computational risk management to sustain Service Level Agreement (SLA)-oriented resource allocation. In addition, we reveal our early thoughts on interconnecting Clouds for dynamically creating global Cloud exchanges and markets. Then, we present some representative Cloud platforms, especially those developed in industries, along with our current work towards realizing market-oriented resource allocation of Clouds as realized in Aneka enterprise Cloud technology. Furthermore, we highlight the difference between High Performance Computing (HPC) workload and Internet-based services workload. We also describe a meta-negotiation infrastructure to establish global Cloud exchanges and markets, and illustrate a case study of harnessing ‘Storage Clouds’ for high performance content delivery. Finally, we conclude with the need for convergence of competing IT paradigms to deliver our 21st century vision.},

abstract = {With the advent internet in the 1990s to the present day facilities of ubiquitous computing, the internet has changed the computing world in a drastic way. It has traveled from the concept of parallel computing to distributed computing to grid computing and recently to cloud computing. Although the idea of cloud computing has been around for quite some time, it is an emerging field of computer science. Cloud computing can be defined as a computing environment where computing needs by one party can be outsourced to another party and when need be arise to use the computing power or resources like database or emails, they can access them via internet. Cloud computing is a recent trend in IT that moves computing and data away from desktop and portable PCs into large data centers. The main advantage of cloud computing is that customers do not have to pay for infrastructure, its installation, required man power to handle such infrastructure and maintenance. In this paper we will discuss what makes all this possible, what is the architectural design of cloud computing and its applications.},

abstract = {This chapter defines value-chain analysis and also explains the role of e-commerce in the value-chain process. One way to look at e-commerce and its role in the business world is through value-chain analysis, which consists of a series of activities designed to satisfy a business need by adding value (or cost) in each phase of the process. A typical business organization (or a division within a business organization) designs, produces, markets, delivers, and supports its product(s) or service(s). Each of these activities adds cost and value to the product or service that is eventually delivered to the customer. For example, in a furniture-manufacturing firm, the firm buys raw materials (wood) from a logging company and then converts these raw materials (wood) into finished product (chair); chairs are shipped to retailers, distributors, or customers. E-commerce models are either an extension or revision of traditional business models, such as advertising and auction models, or a new type of business model that is suitable for the Web implementation, such as informediary, selling information collected over the Web about individuals and businesses to other businesses.},

The key different between other e-commerce architectures and this proposed architecture is the introduction of trusted e-commerce infrastructure, which ensure the regulation of e-commerce market players, information and transactions. This paper discusses the basic rules for trusted e-commerce systems, which includes trusted e-commerce market player rules, information rules and transaction rules. The proposed architecture is described in this paper from user view, integration view, conceptual view and implementation view separately.
